What If I Just
An anonymous art project from Raw Art Collective
Your brain says unhinged things. We want them.
Everyone has intrusive thoughts: the weird, the petty, the “what if I just licked the subway pole.” We’re collecting them anonymously and giving them, at random, to artists who’ll make something in response.
How it works
There are two ways to take part. Do one or both.
Submit a thought. Tell us an intrusive thought, anonymously. No name, no email. Nobody, not even us, will know it came from you. Submit as many as you like.
Make the art. Sign up as an artist, in any medium. We’ll randomly assign you a stranger’s thought, email it to you, and you make a piece in response.
Then everything goes on the wall. Every finished piece is shown alongside its thought at a one-night show in Port Townsend, WA, on Saturday, Feb 6, 2027.
Each piece will also be printed as a postcard. Extras will be sold at the show to cover printing costs.
No names. Ever. Not for thinkers, not for artists.
You don’t have to be local to take part. Submit a thought or make art from anywhere. Can’t make the show? Every piece from the exhibit will be posted on our website on Sunday, Feb 7, 2027.
Join from anywhere. Every piece goes online Feb 7.
Entries close Sunday, Nov 22, 2026.
