Janice Pastor

Artist Bio & Description: I grew up in a small Ohio town that allowed me to mingle with the colors and textures of the countryside that have inspired my style of art to this day. I moved around the country, which has allowed me to be exposed to differing materials and techniques. This lifestyle also exposed me to a variety of educative opportunities. I am mostly a self-taught artist, and I attended classwork at the Parsons School of Design in New York City.

“Most artwork shows the artist’s vulnerability, and I am no exception to this human frailty. The challenge for me is how to use these areas of doubt as a stepping stone for my future work. This is where I will break from my comfort zone. I find this change to be deeply refreshing and rewarding.”
