Gloria (aka Glo) Lamson

Artist Bio and Description: I’ve been making artwork with various materials for over 50 years and have an MFA in Arts and Consciousness.  I often see life itself as my medium and artmaking as a way to connect, engage, and transform experience. My work includes temporary, site-responsive installations—often in nature—documented through photography, a practice I’ve pursued since high school. More recently, I’ve been combining images to create books and ‘multiples’, that is, combining several images together to form a singular visual piece.

Currently I’m fascinated by eyes and ideas around ‘seeing’ and being seen.  I question what we see—and how the world might be seeing us—reflecting on the influence of feelings and thought on perception. 

I believe everyone is inherently creative, and that conscious creative work can help us cultivate presence, peace, and well-being—both personally and collectively.

In my studio I will have some of my photo-based books, photographs, documentation of ephemeral work and miscellaneous visual inspirations.
