Leila Block
Leila Block is a multidisciplinary artist working through visual art, music, and film. Her creative practice is grounded in an ongoing exploration of Health, Hope, Happiness, Harmony, and Humor — themes she expects will inspire her work for a lifetime. She seeks to embody these ideas, both in daily life and in creative expression.
Leila is currently focused on working in oil and clay using a listening-based practice, imagining how each concept might reveal itself through color and form. She allows the idea to guide her process — dictating the movement of carving or the application of paint. In 2025, Leila was the guest speaker for the Port Ludlow Art League, completed a four-week artist residency at Centrum, and exhibited six ceramic works in a group show at Northwind Art Gallery. These experiences reflect her commitment to cultivating warmth, curiosity, and presence through art.
