Artist Bio/Description: My vibrant, whimsical paintings exude joy by emphasizing universal positive themes--a perfect antidote to the chaos of the world. While known mainly for these pet-inspired acrylic works on canvas, I invite you to enjoy new map/chart collages or limited edition protest art from my "Speaking Out!" series. Same bright, bold colors, same sense of whimsy.

Shelly Shinjo
Artist Bio/Description: Port Townsend-based artist, Shelly Shinjo, paints in mixed media, creating whimsical astronauts in colorful landscapes. She worked in the animation industry as a background painter and also illustrated children’s books. Come visit her in the forest with friendly artists.

Scott Fassett
Artist Bio/Description: Scott Fassett has been an illustrator in the Animation Industry for thirty years and got his start at Disney Feature Animation as a background artist. Throughout his career he has designed and painted environments, props and characters for various animated movies and TV shows.
Scott is now in transition to more personal and intuitive work, experimenting with materials and tools in new ways. This begins with abstraction which can circle back to representation. Sometimes he invents from his imagination as well as referring to photos or observational studies, but the goal is always to find the magical place between “reality” and the more subjective realm of abstract painting.
