Artist Bio/Description: A fascination with patterns and nature has led me on an exploration of shape resist (shibori) and indigo dyeing. The nature part comes in with growing and processing indigo and other dye plants in the extensive garden that I cultivate. Indigo dyed scarves and bandanas will be for sale. I can demonstrate some of the folding /clamping techniques and plan to have an indigo vat set up outside to experiment with.
Going from plant to pigment to color on cloth continues to surprise me.
