Artist Bio/Description: Laura Hamje is an oil painter from Austin, Texas, working in the Pacific Northwest since 2004. Laura received her BFA from the University of Washington in 2008 and has shown her work in Seattle, Astoria (Oregon), Los Angeles and NYC. Her work is included in the corporate collections of Perkins Coie, Weyerhaeuser, and F5 Networks. Hamje began her career painting bridges, highways and industrial landscapes, often from the vantage point of a fast moving vehicle. More recently, her subject matter focuses on slow, ethereal moments, from walking in the forests and along the coastlines of the Pacific Northwest.

There will be many large scale works on view this year, including a 12 x 6 foot forest scene.
